Re-introduction

Right, since I'm starting this blog all over I'd better reintroduce myself, just in case someone who doesn't already know me stumbles across this load of drivel and wants to know what I'm all about.

In a nutshell; born in Oklahoma, did some travelling around America in my 20's before moving to London in 1999. Married, divorced, then decided to go back to school and get my degree while I had the chance to do so without racking up a shit-load of debt. Graduated in 2010 with a BSc in Politics and Sociology and have spent the last year trying to get my behind back to the USA.

I currently work as a Senior Administrator (fancy name for an Office Manager but I'm really just a computer geek) for a local council in the South East of England, specifically in the Housing Options Team. Basically, our team is responsible for allocating Council Housing and providing housing advice and homelessness prevention to the residents of South East Surrey. I guess my job deals with both aspects of my degree; Local Government (politics), and social housing/homelessness (sociology). That's not really why I chose to do this particular line of study, but it probably influenced it quite a bit.

I am also a devout atheist, a bleeding heart liberal, a complete nerd, a massive Doctor Who fan and an insulin dependant diabetic; therefore, this blog will likely touch on any or all of these subjects at one point or another.

These are the rules of my blog, please abide by them when commenting here. I welcome comments from anyone/everyone, but this is my blog and I reserve the right to be a poopyhead if I so wish. You don't have to watch your language here (Fuck, Shit, Cunt, Bollocks! There, see...), but you do have to mind your manners. Proselytizing, spamming, trolling and stupidity are not allowed and will bring down the banhammer. Argue with me and amongst yourselves all you want as long as you have the facts to back your shit up, but personal attacks on me or another commenter will not be tolerated.

Do not annoy me and we'll get along fine.

Starting over

I started this blog a couple of years ago, made a couple of irrelevant posts and then went onto other things and kind of forgot about keeping it going. So much has changed since then that I decided to just delete everything and start over. Since very few people, if anybody, have ever even read the old posts I figured it probably wouldn't matter that much. :-)

This is a blog about, well, what ever I feel like writing about on a given day. Could be politics, could be current events, could be that I just feel like ranting for no apparent reason at all... we'll just have to wait and see. I figured now was a good time to re-boot the blog since I've just signed up for the new Google+ and I figure I can link it in somehow and it will make me a bit more diligent in posting entries.
